The world of zodiac enthusiast was shocked after the news that the dates of astrological signs were changed and a new one was added. This is bad news for those people who had their zodiac signs tattooed on their bodies.
In the internet this topic had gone very hot and there were different reactions of people from around the world. This topic lasted for days on the internet and on social media sites such as twitter and Facebook. Some people did not want their new zodiac signs while others are happy with their new ones. People who are unable to accept their new signs just can’t take the fact that their new ones do not fit their personality. Frustration, confusion, dismay and disbelief were just some of the reactions of people all over the web.
The dates of the astrological signs were changed because of the change in the Earths axis due to the moon’s gravitational pull. The phenomenon resulted to a transformation in the alignment of the constellations used in astrology. A new sign was also added to the list, the sign Ophiuchus that is depicted by a man holding a snake. Also known as the snake bearer Ophiuchus is said to originate from a Greek character named Asclepius or Imhotep. He was a physician during ancient times. During the time of the Babylonians, Ophiuchus is said to be a part of the astrological signs but they removed it because they want 12 signs.
Because the zodiac sign Ophiuchus was added the dates of the astrological signs where pushed, so if you are Capricorn before you might be an Aquarius now. This new zodiac sign was inserted between Scorpio and Sagittarius. People born on November 29 to December 17 are Ophiuchuses. People under this sign are said to be seeker of peace, natural healers, wise, creative, charismatic and humorous. Their negative traits are being jealous, tactless, rule-breakers, impulsive and arrogant.
Different debates had rooted from the change in astrological signs. Some says that the change in the signs affects only those who are born in the year 2009. Some astrologers also claim that this change does not affect the zodiac signs because they do not really base readings on constellations but on season and on the movement of planets. Some astrologers also said that this event already happened before and that this is not new to them.
This whole issue started when an astronomer was interviewed in a local newspaper about the creation of the zodiac signs. He then explained that the signs were made by the Babylonians and based it on the constellation were the sun was on the day of the person’s birth. Some even make it a habit to check it early in the morning while reading the morning paper. This issue had really impacted many people although some astrologers had already confirmed that nothing will be changed.
